How do I even begin to describe the magnificent Elise?! First and foremost, she really is WOW!! She is much more than a guide. Elise is a person who cares deeply for her clients and goes far above and beyond any guide I have ever used.

An example is that we had a nightmare arrival that culminated in missing our flight to Faro, lost luggage, no help from the airlines and all this on 30 hours of no sleep. My best friend from high school and I traveled to the Algarve in May 2023 (first trip to Europe for both of us) with the intent of vetting the area as a potential destination for my eventual retirement. We spent two half days with Elise from WOW Algarve and kept her VERY busy showing us potential towns and villages that I might find of interest and answering many questions about day-to-day life in the Algarve.

Elise really went the extra mile for us. I have an interest in doing a lot of fishing when I retire, so she made arrangements for me to meet with a local fisherman already living that dream. Scroll down….

In the Algarve, we took a day tour with Elise Slotte, a Swedish-born tour guide. I cannot say enough about her tour, her personality, and her knowledge of the local terrain.

She took us off the beaten track out of Tavira for a 6 hour tour. We had a picnic lunch on a lake. She took us to tiny scenic towns. She drove a beautiful Peugeot station wagon and was responsible for a spectacular day. She is delightful and interesting./Nancy G with friend, USA
